Grounds Maintenance

Our goal is to enhance and revitalise the communal areas of the estate by introducing greenery and landscaping. We plan to start planting wherever it is feasible and appropriate, considering the available space and environmental conditions. Our efforts will be guided by the funds we have at our disposal, ensuring that we make the most impactful improvements within our budget constraints.

Simon Organ

Grounds Maintenance is primarily undertaken by Simon.  We confirm that this is now a paid arrangement with Simon on a self-employed basis.  Thank you Simon for your willingness to continue this. Simon will be assisted by Jon Wade on a voluntary (unpaid) basis.

Weed Control

Wherever possible the preferred solution for weeding on pathways etc will be by burning rather than with the use of chemical weedkiller. There are occasions where this is not possible but in general we will use a gas powered weeding torch.

Grass Cutting

We have purchased a ride-on lawn mower which assists greatly in reducing both time and effort per cut. We aim to cut the grass fortnightly or thereabouts between approximately April to October when the ground is dry enough to allow this. The mower collects the grass cuttings which are then removed from the estate.

Pollarding

We plan to carry out pollarding annually after the leaves have fallen to control excessive tree growth and limit root expansion. This activity is expected to take place in or around November time.

We warmly welcome any suggestions and ideas from the community. Your input is invaluable, and we encourage everyone to share their thoughts and participate in guiding this. To facilitate this, we will be holding community meetings where owners / residents can discuss  ideas and contribute to the process of improving the look and feel of our estate.
